Ecommerce: Shopify & Headless
Stores that sell more, not just look better.
We've been in ecommerce for over a decade. We've built Shopify themes, Hydrogen storefronts, custom apps, complex migrations, and now AI-native commerce systems. We know which apps quietly slow your store, which "best practice" plugins break checkout on edge cases, and which optimizations actually move conversion versus the ones that just improve a Lighthouse score. We've personally fixed enough broken stores to know where the data dies in a Shopify migration before it dies.
The work is technical. The outcome is revenue. Slow stores lose customers. Bad checkout flows kill conversion. AI that doesn't actually help shoppers gets ignored. Our job is to ship the technical work and measure the business outcome — not to hand you a Lighthouse report and call it a day.
The outcome is revenue, not Lighthouse scores.
Custom Shopify Storefronts
Shopify themes and Hydrogen builds designed for the way your customers actually shop, not the way templates assume they do. We design for performance because slow stores rank lower and convert worse. We design against the same template everyone else uses because brand differentiation is the cheapest competitive advantage in DTC. We measure conversion, not just visits, and we tune for it. Online Store 2.0 themes for stores that want speed-to-launch; full Hydrogen builds for brands that want headless control.
Custom Apps & Extensions
Custom Shopify apps and platform extensions for the things off-the-shelf can't handle. Inventory sync between Shopify and your ERP. Custom checkout logic on Shopify Plus. Internal tools for your ops team. Private apps that connect Shopify to your backend systems, third-party services, or custom workflows. Built so your team stops doing the same export-import dance every week and the data flows automatically.
AI-Native Ecommerce
This is where ecommerce is heading, and the stores that build this now win the next five years. Agentic shopping assistants that help customers find products through conversation instead of keyword search. Conversational product discovery that converts better than filter UIs. AI customer support that handles the easy 80% of tickets so your team focuses on the hard 20%. MCP integrations for Shopify so AI agents can actually act on your store data — check stock, recommend alternatives, process returns. Most Shopify devs can't build this yet. We can.
Migrations & Performance
Platform migrations (BigCommerce, Magento, custom platforms → Shopify) without losing SEO rankings, customer accounts, order history, or sleep. We've done dozens. We know which fields survive the export, which need custom mapping, which need a password reset flow, and which need 301 redirects to keep your search rankings. Performance rescues for stores held together with twelve apps and a custom theme nobody's touched since 2019. We diagnose, document, and fix — and we measure conversion before and after, because performance work that doesn't move revenue is a vanity metric.
Diagnose first. Fix the right problem.
We start with diagnosis, not assumptions. For new builds, we start with your actual customers and conversion data. For rescues, we start with a 1–2 day audit that tells you where the real problems are — sometimes the answer is "switch your theme," sometimes it's "you have three apps doing the same thing," sometimes it's "your custom theme is loading 800KB of unused JavaScript above the fold." We'd rather lose the contract than take money for fixing the wrong problem.
For migrations: we build the script, run it on a staging copy, validate every record class, and only then plan the cutover. Zero-downtime cutovers when the size justifies it. We document everything so your team knows what changed.
For AI-native ecommerce: same eval-first approach we take with any AI work. We test against real customer queries before going live. We design for the cases where the AI is wrong, because the AI will sometimes be wrong.

Integrations
- Ecommerce founders and DTC brands who want a store that performs, converts, and looks like their brand instead of a template.
- Stores moving toward AI-powered experiences and want to do it right the first time.
- Brands migrating from legacy platforms (BigCommerce, Magento, custom) to Shopify without losing what they've built.
- Agencies needing white-label Shopify and Hydrogen engineering they can put in front of their clients.
